Before we get to more on the giveaway, let's talk about books.
Back in 2011 I read an M&B Historical Undone by Jeannie Lin which I loved. I remember thinking, if Harlequin/M&B are accepting stories about Ancient China, then why shouldn't they accept stories about Ancient Africa. Of course I realised there were no romantic stories about Ancient Africa that I could find, so I decided to write a story.
This was how His Treasure and the Men of Valor series was born. I wrote the story and submitted it to a few publishers. Breathless Press accepted it and published His Treasure in December 2011--my first ever book to be published. This book went ahead to win Book of the Year 2011 at the Love Romances Cafe Awards.
That's how I became a published author. Five years later and I have 21 published titles. All my stories involve Africa or Africans in one way or the other to show my love for the continent and the people.
