Celebrating #POC in romance novels. #coloroflovehop #giveaway @kirutaye @EmpiBaryeh @NanaPrah

Hello, sweet people. Color of Love is back again for the fourth year running. As always we are celebrating all romance novels that feature lead characters who are people of color. Our celebration runs from Nov 23rd to Dec 3rd inclusive. Authors and bloggers are sharing the stories they love and also giving away prizes.

There's also a Facebook party running throughout the same period. So make sure you join us.

If you're stopping here for the first time, then let me introduce myself.

My name is Kiru and I write sensual romance novels featuring African characters. I love showcasing a different and vibrant Africa from what you'd normally get in mainstream news media, whether in a contemporary or historical setting. I've also written paranormal stories too.

Africans are romantic. They fall in love. They have happy ever afters too. Yes!

Pick up my books and you'll find billionaires, bad boys, bodyguards, and bad ass heroes, as well as sassy, sophisticated and sexy heroines.

So now you're thinking, I want to read her books, where do I start?

I always recommend starting with Keeping Secrets, a contemporary romance set in Lagos, Nigeria. Here's a brief blurb:

Have you ever loved someone and didn’t even know it? That’s the dilemma facing Felix Essien when he wakes from a coma to find he is married to the most beautiful and sensual woman he’s ever known. He cannot remember her or their wedding.

However would he still feel that way when he regains his memory and realises she’s been keeping secrets and their marriage is not what he thinks it is.

If you enjoy historical romance, then check out Her Protector, which is a free short story.

Feel free to check out my backlist. There are over 20 books.

How about some music before we continue. Flavour always knows how to get a party going. Enjoy.

So for the giveaway, I'm giving away $10 Amazon Gift Card or N3000 Okadabooks Credit.

To enter, sign up to my newsletter and leave me a comment telling me what you love about romance novels.

If you don't have facebook you can leave me a comment using my contact form.

Join us on Facebook for a chance to win more prizes.

We're here to find out about books, right. Here are some you should check out.
