I'm sharing another snippet from a favourite scene from Freddie Entangled. One of Kike's biggest issues is a reluctance to trust. So when Freddie asks her to name her limits during a BDSM scene, she's reluctant to share. And of course, Freddie has to convince her to trust him.

He squatted in front of her, hands on knees, so they were at the same sight level. In the dim light, his eyes were cobalt oceans at midnight and she wanted to swim in them.
“Talk to me, kitten. I don’t want to do anything to harm you physically or emotionally. So if there’s something that’ll cause a problem for you, I need to know it.”
He used a gentle tone, one with the magical quality, persuading her of his sincerity. She could trust him.
