So this week, I'm moving on to a new book in the Essien series. I'm sharing a sexy snippet from Kola.
I've chosen a snippet from Chapter One where the Essien family are at the African Movie Awards to support Tony. We get to see each of the Essien brothers and spouses through Kola's eyes. In this scene, we see what Kola thinks of Tari. *wink*
It is a little longer than seven sentences but I needed to keep the context. Enjoy the snippet.
His gaze swept to the person sitting next to Faith.
Tari Essien.
For a moment, he sat transfixed. The hairs on the back of his neck and arms stood erect and he became aware of the strength of his thumping heart against his chest.
She had a beautiful oval face, eyes the colour of syrup that he wanted to drown in, and her heart-shaped lips had featured in a few of his dreams.
He wasn't a man who spent time thinking about women. Business. Family. Those things took up all of his time. Any encounters with women went purely on a casual basis.
But this woman, with her long dark hair that he wanted to wrap around his fingers and tug until she moaned and her flawless caramel skin he wanted spread out for his pleasure and hers, had been on his mind in one form of the other since he’d been old enough to understand love and lust.
