Ok, I'm not going to lie. I hated Duke when the book started out. He was mean and nasty and mistreated Carla even when he started their relationship with the endearment of Cara. But it was easy to see Carla would be what soothed and calmed the beast. And while they will have many ups and downs, love will keep them returning to one another. ~ AS⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love it when the reader gets the story. There's a reason the entire Yadili series comes with a content note. These books are romantic suspense, dark romance. These characters are NOT nice or sweet or cute. They are morally grey, trigger-happy, chaotic disasters and this applies to the men AND the women. 🤣But I love writing them because it is empowering to express myself through these stories, especially when you feel helpless about so many things going wrong in the world.
